VLeBooks 

Content Multidisciplinary e-book service. 
How to find the e-books

You can find the e-books in Andor search service or in the e-book service's own interface.

Number of simultaneous users
  • Mostly unlimited (credit model).
  • Also user based licenses (for example 1-5 users)
Reading 
  • You can read the e-books online (Read online button). No program installations is required.
  • Some books allow selecting the book format - ePub / PDF. Annotations and bookmarks are tied to the format.
  • It is possible to reserve some ebooks if all the copies are on loan. Add your email address. You will be notified when the book is available in your bookshelf. You have to access the book within four hours.
Downloading 

You can download the books into your own device and read them offline (Download button). NB The download option has been taken away from some very used books.

Downloading requires:

  • Adobe Digital Editions (computers and mobile devices)
  • Adobe ID for activating the reader application into your device. You can also activate the reader application without Adobe ID if you read the book on one computer only. Choose "I want to authorize my computer without an ID".

Loan period: 1–14 days (varies according to each e-book).

Printing and copying
  • Limited and only for your own use in Read online mode. 
  • The number of pages varies according to each e-book. Copy allowances and print allowances of the book are displayed on the book details page.
  •  It is not possible to print or copy from the downloaded version of a VLeBook.

  • You can save links to specific chapters from the Table of Contents. Right-click on the chapter title on the main page of the ebook and copy the link to the chapter to your clipboard. If a user follows the link, they will be taken to the same page and will need to either select the ePub format or click “Read Online” which will direct to the ePub by default before they are redirected to the specific chapter. The chapter link function only works if the user reads the ePub format, not PDF format. 
  • All the books available in VLeBooks are visible. To browse the content we have access to, please use "In my library".
