Basic information on research and teaching staff (personal data, job title or position, faculty) is synchronized automatically from other systems at the university. If you find errors in synchronized data, please contact us and we will forward the information to administrators of other source systems. In addition to basic data, you can save other information in your profile. Always keep your expert information up-to-date by updating your information as soon as it changes.
Your profile information can be found at the top of the main menu. Other users can find your profile through the expert task or publication search. There is both compulsory and voluntary information in your profile.
At the first login you will be redirected to your profile edit form. Check your information and fill in at least the required mandatory information marked with red color. Fields that can be browsed by everyone are marked with an asterisk (*) in the edit form.
In the publicity section, you can give your consent for displaying your profile information on the university's website.
Always remember to save your changes with the Save changes button.
Area of expertise and field of research are text fields where you can add keywords that best describe your expertise and areas of research.
Adding your photo is optional. You can only use your own face image in your expert profile.
The picture must meet the following criteria:
If you want to change the image, you must first delete the previous image before adding a new one.
You can link your expert profile to your website, for example. For this purpose you can get the link using the Direct Link which can be found at the bottom right corner of the profile information page.
Your publications, scientific activities, foreign visits and artistic activities are displayed at the bottom of your profile information page. Click the plus icon infront of the name to display a list of all the registered data.
Data is organized under subheadings alphabetically so that the most recent ones appear first. You can display all registered data by clicking the title. You can refine or correct information on the editing page. Please note that you can no longer edit the publication data after the bibliographic information has been validated by the library.
You can view, add and edit your profile information in Personal > Edit profile. All synchronized data in TUTCRIS is marked with a symbol , and it cannot be modified with the input form. In addition to the synchronized data, you can add the following information yourself:
In TUTCRIS you can also connect the ORCID identifier to your profile and transfer your publication data automatically from TUTCRIS to ORCID. See also further instructions for creating and connecting your ORCID.
Always remember to save your changes with the Save button.
The Statistics Finland field of science is synchronized automatically. You can also add the Academy of Finland field of science and other keywords and classifications.
To add fields of science and classifications, select Personal > Edit profile and click:

Dissertation and thesis data
You can see a summary of all of your research outputs, activities and other content in TUTCRIS on the Personal tab. Data is organized under subheadings by content type. To get a list of certain types of outputs, click the title. The summary page also displays the number of Scopus and WoS citations and the number of file downloads in the TUTCRIS portal.
