Citizen science: Materials open to everyone

Open access resources and open education

Many scientific journals, books and databases require a subscription and are thus behind the paywall. On this page, you will find resources that are freely available to all.

Open education is part of open science. Openness in teaching allows for a wide range of teaching materials and practices to be shared. This page provides links to open events and training courses.

Databases and search engines for finding publications

See also the guide of the California State University (Long Beach), they have compiled a large number of open databases from various disciplines in their guide.

Alternative Access

In addition to the e-resources subscribed to by the library, there are other ways to access information using alternative access (AA). Our guide will help you find resources that the library has not subscribed to, such as Open Access (OA) resources.
